  • Learn to adopt a global mindset and understand marketing in a wider domestic and business context.
  • Have the opportunity to study and work abroad and gain hands-on experience of the education environment – with the possibility of funding through the Erasmus+ programme (until 2023) or the Turing Scheme.
This course enables you to hone your intellectual abilities and analytical skills. You’ll gain skills in quantitative and qualitative information collection, analysis, synthesis and interpretation, making you a confident candidate for future employment. Applied learning - Work placements In year three you’ll have the opportunity to apply the skills you've gained by taking a one-year paid work placement. It’s a great way to improve your industry knowledge with real insight and experience, and to build an eye-catching CV to impress future employers. Due to our strong relationships with regional, national and international employers, we can help you secure a great placement opportunity and support you while you’re there. You may also have the opportunity to spend a semester at a European university and undertake a 12-month work placement abroad – with the possibility of funding through the Erasmus+ programme (until 2023) or the Turing Scheme. Live projects You’ll experience work-based projects in each year of your course to prepare you for graduate-level employment. These will be a mixture of live client briefs and short placements. You can also pursue your own business initiative, subject to approval. Networking opportunities Prepare for your career through the student Marketing Society, which you gain automatic membership to as a new student. This also gives you access to the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and local branch masterclasses and activities. We’re one of the few universities in the UK to have a student society linked to the CIM. This is a student learning community that complements and enhances your academic studies, and allows you to link up with local professionals. CIM is the leading professional body for marketers worldwide and exists to develop the marketing profession, maintain professional standards and improve the skills of marketing practitioners.
