Modules For more information on this course and a full list of modules, visit the course page: https://www.aston.ac.uk/study/courses/business-enterprise-development-bsc Assessment method This course puts experience and practice at the heart of the learning process. You will learn from doing tasks and interacting with your team rather than being fed information from a lecturer. This encourages deep learning of the key activities of enterprise development and management. There are no exams. While appropriate for some programmes and beneficial for some people, exams are not always the best way to develop and assess skills and competencies. All of the assessment on this programme is authentic, allowing you to demonstrate what you have achieved without having to endure the stress of revision and the challenges of memory recall in a crowded exam hall. Entrepreneurial and management success cannot be judged by exams, so neither is our programme. All of your assessments will be practical and developmental. They will include tasks, such as: creating career and personal development plans; pitching for funding for your enterprise; showcasing your teams’ projects; maintaining your own reflective journal; creating enterprise development plans; ideation and new product/service challenges; interviews; presentation of a marketing campaign; and an in-depth consultancy or market research project. You are able to self-regulate and pace your own learning. As there are no lectures you are not constrained by weekly cycles of academic work. All of your assessments will be set at the start of the year so that you, your team and your coach can work out an approach to addressing the assessment requirements and obtaining the requisite knowledge.
