Course summary
The purpose of BTEC Higher Nationals in Business is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the business sector and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualification aims to widen access to higher education and enhance the career prospects of those who undertake them. Students will study a range of business modules in year one and then study the specialist marketing modules in year two, alongside completing a project and further business modules.

Year One: Business and the Business Environment; Marketing Essentials; Human Resource Management; Management and Operations; Management Accounting; Managing a Successful Business Project; Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management; Financial Accounting. Year Two: Research Project; Organisational Behaviour; Product and Service Development; Integrated Marketing Communications; Digital Marketing; Statistics for Management; Developing Individuals, Teams and Organisations.
Assessment method
A range of assessment methods will be used including coursework such as writing reports, group and individual presentations, and time constrained tasks.
