University Centre Somerset - Bridgwater & Taunton College has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
The BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Management Top-up aims to provide you with a learning environment which builds on the platform of the University Centre Somerset's Foundation Degree. Alternatively students could have studied a similar Foundation Degree elsewhere. Whether you are focused on farm management or an associated industry; this course aims to supply graduates with the opportunity to develop systematic understanding and detailed knowledge of the key concepts, contexts and technologies shaping the developments in the agrifood sector. The two day full-time study structure will allow you to travel longer distances with just one overnight stay and will enable you to continue in employment alongside study. Industry links form a critical part of our course with regular visits, guest speakers and workshops from sector leaders.
Modules studied may include:
- Agricultural Business Opportunities & Marketing
- Agricultural Business Management
- Strategic & Human Resource Management
- Food Chain Management
Modules are assessed through a combination of coursework and formal examination. coursework could include written / practical reports; in-class tests; case studies; essays; oral presentations; posters and a dissertation which allows independent research in a topic of interest, developed with staff on the programme.
