“Please note: you can choose to study the Foundation Year in either our Bournemouth or London location. Levels 4, 5 and 6 will be taught from our Bournemouth location only.” This foundation course is designed for applicants who do not meet the admissions criteria for the BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation degree. You’ll start by completing a foundation year, which provides well-structured support. Following successful completion of the foundation year, you will progress with confidence to the first year of the BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation degree. Become qualified in the field of sport rehabilitation. The BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation is a vocational, hands on course that offers students the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and expertise in preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating sports and physical activity-related injuries. Graduate Sport Rehabilitators are trained in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries expertise that is essential across all sports, and all levels from amateur to elite. If you’ve been affected by sports injuries - If you want to learn more about the field of rehabilitation in a sports environment. Our innovative curriculum has been purpose built to integrate learning with our state-of-the-art facilities including onsite clinics, imaging services, treatment spaces and a pro-section laboratory. This coupled with our expertise in sport and exercise science, make AECC University College a fantastic environment for aspiring Sport and Exercise Rehabilitators to train and develop. Career prospects Upon completion of this course you will be eligible to become a registered member of BASRaT (British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers). Sports rehabilitators work in areas such as professional sport, primary musculoskeletal care, military and corporate environments. Successful completion of the undergraduate programme opens up the world of further postgraduate study such as Strength and Conditioning, Sport Sciences or research in the form of MRes/PhD study. To meet the minimum English Language requirements of the programme, applicants will need to achieve an overall IELTS (academic) score of 6.0 or above with no less than 5.5 in each section.

Qualification requirements
UCAS Tariff - 64 - 100 points
Applicants should normally hold 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (C) including English and Maths. Key Skills/Functional Skills Level 2 in Communication and Application of Number can be accepted in place of English and Maths GCSE. However, applications will be viewed holistically and in line with our contextual admissions process. For mature or non-traditional applicants’ consideration will be given to individual circumstances.

If you live in the UK, and undertake a placement, some placements require a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, we will guide you through this process if required. To gain a place on the course some applicants may be requested to attend an interview which may take place in person or remotely via TEAMS, you will be contacted beforehand to confirm.
