This course is ideal for those who have a strong interest in animal biology, and want to understand more about the science of diagnosing and treating animal disease. You’ll apply theory to practice in our dissection and microbiology laboratories, developing your expertise in disease diagnosis, microbiology, physical therapies and rehabilitation. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to get out in the field, with access to over 70 animal species on our 360-hectare campus. You’ll be supported to gain experience in industry, right from your first year. Students have recently gained experience in our commercial equine and canine therapy centres, on our commercial farm and in our science labs, as well as further afield. You’ll hear from industry professionals in lectures, and have opportunities to attend practical demonstrations run by veterinary practices. Recent graduate destinations have included roles in veterinary medicine, scientific laboratories, pharmaceuticals and academia.
