This degree will give you an excellent grounding in the study of education. You will explore wider cultural and historical aspects of education as well as developing a thorough understanding of the teaching and learning process. This will include practical, classroom based aspects; for example, you will study the teaching and learning of reading and you will be placed in a school to work with an individual child to support their reading development.

Year 2: Interpersonal interactions; Developing mathematical thinking; Barriers to learning; Equality, culture and citizenship; Alternative education setting placement. Year 3: Contemporary issues in education; Creativity in education; Assessment in education; Project; Contextualising education globally.
