If you want to gain a professional qualification which enables you to practice as a counsellor in a number of settings or you would like to enhance your current employment role with qualified counsellor status then this is the course for you. We expect students to join BACP for the duration of this course as part of a commitment to professional development. You will also undertake a helping placement and you will start your counselling placement and practice as a trainee counsellor in an approved counselling setting to achieve 100 supervised counselling hours. Student will be required to have a up to date DBS ( CRB ) Check in place by start of course

56 UCAS points, access to a Higher Education Diploma to have completed a DBS check three A Levels or equivalent or a minimum of Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills to be eligible to become a student member of BACP or the NCS five GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent including English and Maths. We may accept students who do not meet the typical entry requirements if you have relevant experience. Applications are considered on an individual basis.
