Course summary
Dietitians are the only profession to focus on the assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic interventions related to nutritional disorders. This intensive two-year degree will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to educate and guide your patients to make good choices in their nutritional intake. Working with local providers including NHS trusts you will develop as competent clinicians able to communicate with patients and other health professions about the status of patients and design and implement nutritional management plans to support their recovery. You might be working with people who have chronic illness, children, athletes or those wishing to make better choices about their health. Whatever the reason, dieticians are key members of the healthcare workforce, applying their knowledge of food, nutrition, human science and research to support their patients.
