Our BSc Economics equips you with the right skills to tackle the different challenges you’ll face in the ever-changing business world. This professionally recognised course (CISI), ensures that you graduate with the skills that employers need, delivered by leading experts in the field that care passionately about their subject. You will gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the methods, theory and applications of economic science and finance, as well their functions in the contemporary business world. Alongside essential academic theory, this course will develop your problem-solving, technical and analytical skills as you apply economic analysis to real-life issues, based on case studies from our major business links. The course has a strong emphasis on the world of work, so you'll benefit from skills and enterprise workshops, and we’ll help you to find work experience through our network of connections in busy Stratford, iconic Canary Wharf and beyond. Through your understanding of key developments in the global business environment, you will be prepared for a career as an economist as well as a skilled manager, researcher, analyst or strategist working in finance, banking, business management, consulting, commerce, the public sector and voluntary organisations. Our extended foundation course is perfect if you want a degree in economics but you don't have the standard entry requirements. Qualification requirements

For detailed information on entry requirements for our courses, please see the individual course pages. We consider a range of UK and worldwide qualifications at the appropriate level and also take relevant work experience into account when considering an application. Many courses have a Foundation Year option for those students whose qualifications do not meet the BA or BSc entry requirements. They are not a guarantee of an offer, nor of the conditions that may apply. When making a decision on your academic suitability, we will make an assessment of you as an individual and will use information other than qualifications; which may include predicted grades, performance at Level 2, relevant work experience, previous study at degree level, personal statement, references and any portfolio, written test or interview, to make our decision.
