Course summary

Exploring the very mysteries of life is the essence of biology. It is at the vanguard of research into global issues such as disease, cloning, feeding growing populations, assessing health risks from foods, and humanity’s impact on our planet. You will study the full range of life, from tiny molecules to entire ecosystems, and gain an appreciation of the issues biological advances present to society. You will also develop your understanding of the scope and limitations of biological knowledge and techniques on a degree that is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology and includes detailed fieldwork in a rich diversity of habitats.
