Course summary
This course will give you the knowledge, practical experience and confidence to pursue a career in the Production Arts industry. It is aimed at dedicated learners who want to move into the creative industries or further training, and are looking for practical training and a nationally-recognised Level 4 qualification. This is a hands on vocational course in which you will gain valuable work experience in being allocated a role within a bustling theatre venue (The ACT Theatre, Kingston College).

Assessment method
The course provides you with opportunities to test your understanding of the subject informally before you complete the formal assessments that count towards your final mark. The holistic assessment methods include Live Briefs and range of coursework based assessments such as essays/ reports/ portfolios/ presentations. The grades from formal assessments count towards your overall unit mark. All assessment are spread across the year to make the workload manageable.

Qualification requirements
UCAS Tariff - 32 points
Applicants should have at least 32 UCAS points from one A-Level, a BTEC Level 3 or equivalent qualification. An interview where you will need to prove some experience in production arts or equivalent. You are encouraged to present a portfolio of work or link to your social media/website evidencing productions you have previously worked on. You will also need to provide a satisfactory reference. Mature students with relevant experience may also be considered.
