Course summary
The University of Chichester Dance department has a well-established reputation for nurturing and developing creative graduates. It offers regular opportunities to perform on your own or with others, while working with professional choreographers and dancers through our performance programmes, in The Showroom and The Studio Theatre spaces. The Dance Department provides a challenging and rewarding opportunity for you to train and explore theory through practice. The Dance, Aerial and Physical Theatre programme introduces aerial arts and physical theatre alongside a dance focused theoretical, practical and choreographic scheme of study, which develops technical skills whilst building an understanding of contemporary dance practice. It offers a unique opportunity to explore narrative, character, construction of scene and costume through movement practice which engages with various aerial techniques as well as physical theatre and site-specific work.
