Computer gaming is a multi-billion pound industry of simulation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Our Computer Science (Games) BSc will enable you to gain a sound academic grounding in the discipline of Computer Science, an understanding of the professional issues relevant to your future working life and specialist knowledge in computer games development - informed by our own research and industry trends. Your final year will culminate with the opportunity to deep dive into a pre-defined selection of modules relating to the specialist field of games computing. From bioinformatics to computing in education, you will gain a deep understanding of the architecture of computer systems and a thorough knowledge of practical software engineering in multimedia contexts. You will also spend time exploring current research topics and writing a novel final year project related to your specialism.
