Course summary
What is special about this course? This fully online course is designed to help current and future leaders and managers in the equine industry prepare for the challenges and opportunities facing their organisations. Leaders need to take on greater responsibility to drive innovation and creativity within their teams, finding new solutions and new ways of working. It is also true that organisations need more people to take on leadership responsibilities even where they do not necessarily have a formal management position within the business. The niche pressures, challenges and range of external legislation and competition require managers of organisations in the industry to take responsibility to drive innovation and identify new solutions and new ways of working to be adaptable. This course will provide you with the opportunity to think about your own leadership approach and preferences, as well as the needs of your organisation. It will encourage you to develop and make changes that can have a positive impact on yourself and your business. The course focuses on leadership management and communication, with an equine specific module covering strategic and operational change in the equine industry. This is highly relevant in today’s fast moving industry. An online induction, which is delivered at the beginning of the course, will introduce you to the online learning environment.
