Architecture shapes the world around us. It reflects our societies and communities, and it influences the way we think and feel. Architecture dominates our skyline, transforms our cities, changes the way we live and work- and becomes part of our narrative. Learn how to design buildings and make spaces for people in a creative and environmentally responsible way. Based within a leading art and design school, you will be able to work collaboratively across disciplines and also have freedom to develop and express yourself as an individual. The course is based around drawing and making, from the hand-crafted to the digital. It is informed by the tradition and heritage of an art school environment, and by the contemporary creative use of cutting-edge technology, exploring the relationship of the arts and design to architecture. Work in a studio environment on challenging projects that will test your skills in creating user-centred designs that encourage innovation and experimentation. There will be opportunities to engage in real-world activities including work with local communities and employers and to experience other cultures through overseas study trips.
