The University of Stirling and Edinburgh Heriot-Watt University will be offering a collaborative programme in BSc (Hons) Chemistry and Professional Education. Students follow the same Professional Education path as others at Stirling but attend Chemistry lectures and seminars at Heriot-Watt's campus. The BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and Professional Education is a 4-year programme of study that is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in Chemistry teaching at the secondary school level. This programme of study works in the same way as other combined degrees at the University of Stirling: on graduation and successful completion of the ITE programme students are able to commence their induction year in schools and register with the General Teaching Council for Scotland.
