Focus your vision of becoming a film and screen media professional with this top-up degree. This programme allows you to solidify your practice allowing you to zoom towards your dream career. Leverage industry insight and professional product output to identify and maintain your specialism in film and screen media. This production, content and distribution of film in the industry is developing alongside advancing technologies in an increasingly networked culture. This programme will challenge you to develop your specialist skills in preparation for this ever-evolving industry. Build your visual storytelling techniques and refine your practice to meet industry standards. This practitioner-focused degree will challenge you to think about the screen differently to give meaning to an audience. The three strands covered on this course include film making, motion design/visual effects and screen practices and you will be encouraged to focus on your specialism while experimenting with your creative practice. You will explore advanced film and moving image techniques, motion graphics and digital effects, 360 degree camera narrative workflow and working as a freelancer. Additionally, you’ll create a portfolio to showcase your creativity and support your progression.

Qualification requirements

A typical offer is likely to be Pass at Foundation Degree or a relevant HND, together with a number of GCSE grades at C or above including English. All students are to present a portfolio of artwork and supporting academic text which is disclosed during an interview or correspondence for distance applicants. International qualifications will be assessed against these criteria. Speakers of other languages need to have an IELTS score of at least 6.0 or a recognised level 2 English qualification. All students must be able to demonstrate either by qualifications or testing that they have the required literacy skills to complete the course. Offers are made subject to reference.
