This innovative degree will allow you to develop a greater awareness of the international processes and political ideas that shape our lives. You’ll examine the complex political, social and economic systems that structure the contemporary world and analyse the interconnected nature of local, national and global events. You may also have the opportunity to undertake a work placement as part of your studies.

The key topic areas covered by this course include: Foundations and Challenges to International Relations, International Relations and Global History, Political Ideologies in Conflict, Media Power and Politics, Politics and International Relations: Theory and Methods, Global Political Marketing and Understanding Foreign Policy. You may have the opportunity to take advantage of the University's Language Programme by taking an optional foreign language module in Year Two and Three.
