The BSc Business Management with Innovation and Technology programme looks at how future managers can grasp the advantages of technology to run the business of the future. This industry informed undergraduate degree combines practice-based use of digital tools with a challenging academic curriculum bringing together modules from IT, computing and management degrees. In recent years, advancements in information technology have had a massive impact on the way that business operates, creating a huge number of new challenges and opportunities for organisations. You will study your degree at our Salford campus close to Manchester city centre. This course (formerly known as BSc Digital Business, BSc Business Information Technology) achieved a 100% overall student satisfaction rate (with 100% completion rate) in 2020 (University of Salford analysis of unpublished NSS 2020 data) The Placement Year gives you the opportunity to apply the skills, knowledge and understanding you have gained in the first two years of the course. Modules

Year 1: Legal Systems and Legal Digital Skills, Understanding Organisations, Contract Law, Law for Business Practice, Data Analysis for Business, The Future of Business. Year 2: Professional Development, Media Law, Business Intelligence and Dashboards, Legal Aspects of Business, Project Management, Employment Law, Live Project in Business Law. On completion of year 2, you may choose to undertake a year's paid professional placement. If you choose to take the professional year option, you will not pay fees to the University and will earn a wage for the work that you do. Year 3: Business Ethics and Sustainability, Strategic Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Management in Business Law, Company Law, AI Law.

Assessment method

We use different forms of assessment in different modules and wherever possible these will reflect the types of work you will do in the ‘real world’ for example, report writing, presentations and business pitches. Exams will only be used when it is a requirement for professional accreditation. Throughout your studies, the work you produce will help to build your personal portfolio of professional evidence that you will be able to use in job applications and interviews.
