Course summary

This course is for graduates in naval architecture, offshore engineering, mechanical engineering and related disciplines who want to gain advanced knowledge of subsea systems, designs and installation. This includes systems and equipment such as: pipeline; wellheads; drilling rigs; riser and mooring systems.

Modules

Compulsory classes: Risers and Mooring Lines, Subsurface Technology, Marine Pipelines, Maritime Safety and Risk, Dynamics of Floating Offshore Installations, Marine Pipeline Integrity, Finite Element Analysis of floating Structures, Underwater Vehicles, Subsurface Technology


Entry requirements

Normally a first or second-class Honours degree, or overseas equivalent in a naval, nautical, marine, ocean, shipping or related technical engineering discipline.
