Course Overview: Our exciting new HNC in Esports is designed to give students an overview of the Esports industry, empowering them to thrive in this competitive industry. Students benefit from our state-of-the-art facilities and specialised equipment, enhancing their understanding of Esports concepts and practices. Whether aspiring to become Esports managers, content creators, event organisers, or industry analysts, students are equipped with the expertise needed to thrive in this rapidly evolving industry. One of the exciting elements of this program is that the skills learnt on the HNC are also transferable to many modern businesses. Course Content: You will gain a wide range of esports knowledge linked to practical skills gained through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios. You will be involved in vocationally relevant activities that help you to develop the attitudes and approaches required for a successful career within the Esports industry, as well as a wide range of transferable skills, valued for further study in higher education and in the workplace. By the end of the course, you will have sound knowledge of the basic concepts of esports and will be competent in a range of skills and qualities relevant to the key areas of esports including delivering events, coaching, marketing and tactical analysis. Our staff bring a wealth of knowledge and skills from the Esports, sports and business sectors, resulting in our teaching providing a 'real-world' curriculum, emphasising key transferable skills that enhance your prospects for further study opportunities or future employment. Assessment method
The programme uses various assessment techniques to ensure you can demonstrate the range of learning outcomes. Subject knowledge and understanding are assessed through examinations, coursework essays, coursework reports, individual or group presentations, written evaluations, debates and posters will be used as other forms of assessment. These also assess a range of transferable skills, including confidence in academic written communication
