Kickstart and enhance your career with our BSc Psychology with Integrated Year in Industry programme. Psychology - the scientific study of the mind and behaviour - is a diverse and dynamic field of study and our British Psychological Society (BPS)-accredited degree is designed to bring this exciting subject to life. When you study with us, you will be taught by academic staff members who are established experts in their respective fields, many of whom are BPS-accredited Chartered Psychologists (CPsychol). The Department has outstanding teaching and research facilities, including state-of-the-art eye-tracking equipment, a child development laboratory, a biopotential recording laboratory, an EEG laboratory and sound attenuated chamber, a video laboratory and control room for observational research, and a dedicated computer lab. All our degree schemes are designed with employability in mind and are accredited by the BPS – perfect for graduate-level careers or access to postgraduate training. This course is identical to its sister course C800, however, you will have an additional year of funding to undertake your year industry. If you are unable to obtain a work placement, you can simply transfer to our three-year sister programme. As a student in the Department of Psychology, you will experience an innovative approach to learning and teaching. The Department houses modern research facilities and top-class student learning spaces. Make no mistake, you will develop confidence and gaining experience in the industry will stimulate your enthusiasm for the subject. Completing a year in industry will allow you to:

Additional entry requirements
A minimum grade C or grade 4 pass in GCSE (or equivalent) English or Welsh is a requirement for entry to all our degree schemes. Level 3 KS/FS Communication may be acceptable in lieu of GCSE English or Welsh. For this degree scheme minimum grade C or grade 4 pass in GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics is also required. GCSE Mathematics-Numeracy is acceptable in lieu of GCSE Mathematics.
