Course summary

Designed in partnership with University for the Creative Arts, this business management degree will introduce you to key aspects of business including accounting, marketing, law and much more, in order to help you become a skilled business professional. You’ll learn the answers to the questions: how does a business evolve and grow, how does an organisation flourish and what do businesses need to change to meet strategic goals? Throughout the programme you will have the opportunity to develop a versatile portfolio of skills including problem-solving, decision-making and innovative thinking, all of which can be transferred into a number of different industries. You’ll also apply your theoretical knowledge in a practical setting using work placements, presentations and employer engagement. By the time you graduate, you will be able to pursue roles in a range of different industries including operations management, buying, HR management, consultancy and finance management. Alternatively, you can use this undergraduate programme as a foundation to progress onto a postgraduate qualification. Year 1: Throughout the first year of this business management course, you will get to grips with key business functions and their operating environment. You will also begin to develop transferable skills that can be applied in your career as a business professional Year 2: Your second year of study will introduce you to theories of creativity, entrepreneurship and international business. To help you apply what you have learned, you will complete a placement or professional project. As business is becoming increasingly digitalised, you will also build your understanding of key principles in digital business and marketing. Year 3: Your final year is dedicated to a final business management project, designed as an opportunity for you to showcase your newly learned skills. You will implement your knowledge to identify solutions to specific business events and problems while considering the long-term survival of a business.
