The curriculum of BA (Hons) Business Management and Entrepreneurship is designed to produce highly qualified, employment ready graduates who are able to play leading roles in a wide range of business management related careers. The inclusion of core business modules on the course will equip you with the tools to succeed in the competitive industry, as well as the knowledge to choose your specialism with confidence. During your first year of study, you will focus on core modules, in order to give you a broad overview and an idea of the area in which you want to specialise. In your second and third years of study, there will be a choice of option modules, as well as the continued focus on core Business Management modules. Option modules will allow you to specialise in an area of interest, in order to maximise your business potential and allow you to develop skills that are directly relevant to your chosen sector.

Modules
This two year, part-time route is Stage Three of the degree course. To study on this course you must have completed a Higher National Diploma or Foundation degree in Business or an equivalent qualification. Fixed modules for the part-time top-up route are: Strategic Management; Business Ethics; Developing People in Organisations; Marketing Management; Dissertation.
Assessment method
A variety of teaching and learning methods have been integrated throughout the programme with an overall emphasis on active student participation. These include: lectures; tutorials; seminars; action learning sets; workshops; presentations; on-line learning; case studies; group learning; independent learning; peer-to-peer learning. Teaching is primarily based on research literature, professional experience and significant use of debate and discussion. You will be assessed through a variety of academic tasks, including coursework assignments, case studies, presentations and research reports.

Qualification requirements
This two year, part-time route is Stage Three (Level 6) of the degree course. To study on this route you must have completed a Higher National Diploma in Business or equivalent qualification. Non-standard applications will be required to produce evidence of their ability to study at Higher Education level. Short-course and relevant work experience may be taken into account; you will also be expected to attend an interview, and possibly to complete a piece of written work as part of your application. As a partner in the Higher Education Access Rewarding Transforming (HEART) partnership we have committed ourselves to a progression agreement for a range of Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) awards.
