Course summary
This course provides graduates in law or any other relevant discipline with the opportunity for advanced learning in certain key areas of international business law. The course is delivered with a strongly business bias placing law in the context of strategic management practice and how it relates to international business. You will benefit from the networking and employment prospects offered by a large and dynamic Business School. At the final stage of study (Industry Collaboration Project) you will be able to choose whether to pursue a purely law-based focus or follow an interdisciplinary law and international business management pathway. Entry dates in September and January. You will:
- Explore key areas of international business law
- Consider the fundamental legal concepts that characterise international corporate identity and activity
- Develop your knowledge and understanding of the role of law in international business transactions
- Look at how international trade and investment law influences a firm’s strategy and its international business operations
- Apply your learning through the Industry Collaboration Project

Modules include: Strategic international business management; international business law; international corporate law and governance; marketing international business; business innovation project.
Assessment method
Assessment methods may include: Individual or group work; research based assignments; presentations; seen or unseen examinations; closed or open-book examinations.

Normally an undergraduate degree in Law or any other appropriate discipline, at class 2.2 or above, or a relevant equivalent level professional qualification.
