Course summary

The programme provides students with a comprehensive, practical and critical understanding of the regulatory, operational and commercial environment of contemporary Air Transport Management. It equips students with a range of transferrable knowledge and relevant research skills which can be applied in the workplace. Specifically, the programme will enable students to apply in-depth knowledge and understanding of the structure and the operation of the commercial air transport industry from an international perspective, including the regulatory, political and economic environments in which it operates, the processes it employs and the challenges it faces. It will also enhance critical thinking and analytical skills through exposure to the latest academic research and a rigorous theoretically informed but industry relevant interdisciplinary approach. Assessment method

You will be taught through a combination of workshops, tutorials, practical learning sessions, online resources and formative assessments to ensure all learning styles are acknowledged.


Entry requirements

Applicants will normally hold an undergraduate degree in air transport, geography, engineering, economics, tourism, international business, management or a related subject with a minimum pass of 2:2, or equivalent overseas qualification. Relevant industrial experience will also be considered on an individual basis.
