Advance your professional and academic development by exploring contemporary and critical issues about young children and their learning. Take a 'whole child' approach to the study of children and the issues that affect them and their families. As part of this course, you’ll:
- Specialise your study through one of two distinct routes - Early Years and Children & Young People
- Choose the Early Years route if you want to focus on applying a critical lens to young children's education and care within a variety of settings
- Choose the Children & Young People route if you’re interested in focusing on critically examining concepts, contexts and practice related to childhood
- Recognise and champion every child. Using the latest research you’ll explore the theoretical and conceptual terrain of childhood to inform and develop your own practice
- Study modules designed to highlight the importance of the child's voice and children's participation
- Professionally experienced expert teaching team
- Start on your path in becoming Qualified Teacher Status accredited

Entry requirements
Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. All applications should be supported by a reference, either academic or professional.
