This is a joint honours course featuring Anthropology and International Relations. You will be able to choose from a selection of modules from both of these courses to create a programme that is tailor made for you. Modules
In the Anthropology element of the course, what you study includes: Biological anthropology examines humans within a broad evolutionary framework, including variation in biological characteristics, genes, diseases, the interaction between people and their environment, and the behaviours and comparative anatomy of primates and early hominins. Social anthropology includes the cross-cultural study of social organisation, kinship and gender, political structure, religion and ritual, values and beliefs, and social change. In the International Relations element of the course, what you study includes: Year 1 introduces you to the discipline of International Relations and looks at contemporary issues in world politics. In Year 2 you will study key areas of the discipline, including research into politics and international relations, global governance and the global political economy. In Year 3 you will be able to choose from a range of specialist honours modules.
