Course Overview Our International Journalism with Foundation Year Degree gives you an insight into the practice of journalism and the skills and knowledge required by journalists. Why study with us

  • BA (Hons) International Journalism provides a practical training in radio, TV and online journalism on industry standard equipment and software that prepares you to walk into a job in any newsroom.
  • You’ll be encouraged to study part of your course abroad. There is a wide range of exchange programmes available, to dozens of countries in Europe, Asia, North America and Australia.
  • Journalism is taught in the newsroom more often than the classroom. You get realistic industry experience in our state-of-the-art facilities and on optional work placements.

  • Working journalists bring up-to-the-minute expertise as guest lecturers. These contacts help you prepare for the latest challenges and to find work placements and jobs.
  • Showcase your ideas, enthusiasm, skills and talent at our cJAM careers event with industry professionals. The event closes with placements awarded to successful students.
  • Secure work placements in the UK and overseas. You can do all or part of Year 2 in another country – there’s a wide range of exchange programmes available, to dozens of countries.
