Course summary

The Foundation Degree in Cricket Coaching and Performance has been designed to develop highly trained and qualified graduates with the academic knowledge, coaching expertise and practical skills to gain rewarding and exciting careers in the cricket industry. Based around the work of a modern cricket coach, the course encourages students to develop innovative, contemporary ideas which are underpinned by traditional values and practices.

Modules

Year 1 - Sports Performance (double module); Coaching Principles and Practice; Coaching and Pedagogy; Introduction to Sport Science; Academic and Vocational Skills. Year 2 - Research Development; Sports Performance Analysis; Coaching for Sport Performance; Talent Identification and Sport Development; Lifestyle Recovery and Rehabilitation; Industry Project.

Entry requirements

Qualification requirements

Normally 5 GCSEs Including Maths and English (or equivalents) are required, however, applicants are advised to check with the University Centre if they do not possess the specific qualifications. The University Centre may consider applicants with work experience within a relevant industry in place of some qualifications. Applicants who believe they may be eligible for Accreditation of Prior Certificated and/or Experiential Learning (APCL/APEL) will be considered on an individual basis. If you have any queries in relation to entry qualifications, then please contact the University Centre directly.
