The programme provides a dedicated route for students who (may have a specific research aim in mind and) are ready to carry out independent research leading to postdoctoral status; alternatively it is appropriate for students who are seeking a high level qualification suitable for a career in research with transferable skills for graduate employment.

International applicants
This course has a subject classification which requires students whose nationality is outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland to have an ATAS certificate, irrespective of country of residence at the point of application.

Entry requirements
2.1 or above or equivalent in a relevant subject; international students must also have IELTS of 7.0 or above.
