Portuguese embraces the study of the languages, literatures and cultures of Brazil, Portugal and the wider Portuguese-speaking world. Portuguese at Glasgow offers a varied programme, in which you will work in small groups with native speakers from Portugal and Brazil. The programme has long-established links with the Instituto Camões. You will have full access to our Language Resources Centre, which offers excellent audiovisual, digital and printed materials. Theatre Studies: this degree programme examines the nature and function of the theatrical event and theatre culture from critical, historical and practical perspectives. Glasgow has a vibrant and diverse theatre and performance scene. We have very strong links with the theatre and arts sector, giving you opportunities to be taught by and work with practitioners of national and international standing, alongside staff with reputations as world-leading researchers (REF 2014 definition of 4* research).

SQA applicants entering from S5 are required to achieve BBBB by the end of S5. Applicants who achieve less than BBBB by the end of S5 MAY receive a conditional offer, but a decision will not be made on these applications until all applications have been reviewed. Conditional offers to these applicants will require them to achieve AAAAA cumulatively by the end of S6.
