Non-Destructive Evaluation at University of Warwick - UCAS

Course options

Course summary

Train as a researcher on the EngD in Non-destructive Evaluation. Warwick's School of Engineering will provide you with specialist guidance. With modules taught by academics from six partner universities, as well as input from industrialists. The CDT (EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training) defines the areas of industrial interest, and from those, students can apply to the CDT for funding. Students can register for an EngD at any of the six universities, but the CDT will define a specific university/industrial member combination together with the topic to be studied. This is because the industry partner has to provide some resource to the project. The student can be based either in the industrial company or at the University, whichever is most convenient, with most projects being based within the University in year 1 and at the company in later years. Within the University of Warwick, the student will be based in either the School of Engineering or the Department of Physics, depending on the topic of interest and academic supervisor. Prospective students have to apply to the CDT directly initially, and if accepted they can apply to be admitted to the EngD degree at the relevant University. The EngD requires the student to attend and pass a series of training modules, run by various members of the CDT consortium, and which change from one year to the next depending on availability of training staff.
