Modules
Your main study themes are: Academic Skills: You will improve and refine key academic skills needed for progression into higher education and industry application. These skills include research methods, communication skills, referencing skills, presentation skills and more. Independent and Autonomous Working: You will gain the ability to critically appraise an engineering scenario, with a view to apply modern technologies to improve efficiency or effectiveness. Industry Adaptation: You’ll study factors that influence engineering, policies and processes. Project Management: You will be effective and efficient in project management, time management and organisation. You will be introduced to a number of applications and processes to facilitate the successful development of management skills. Research Methods: Critical analysis, reflection, information searching and experimental design in engineering, data collection, analysis and design. Applicants who do not have Level 3 (A-level or equivalent) qualifications, can be considered on an individual basis provided that you have 5 GCSEs at grade 4 / C or above including English and Mathematics plus two years relevant work experience.
