There are visits to settings such as police custody suites, victim support facilities and courts, plus a fascinating guest lecture programme. You’ll enjoy unique opportunities to gain vital investigative work experience throughout your studies. Qualification requirements

The University of Derby in collaboration with Nottinghamshire Police and Derbyshire Constabulary run the police cadet scheme resulting in the Foundation in Policing qualification. On successful completion of the Foundation in Policing, applicants applying for this course will qualify for entry.


English language requirements

IELTS overall score at a minimum of 6.0; with at least IELTS 5.5 in each band (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing) or another Secure English Language Test (SELT) at CEFR level B2 or above
