Immerse yourself in the business-side of performance sport at an institution that's won over 30 major sports titles and produced over 200 international athletes. You’ll benefit from our partnerships with local and national sports clubs and businesses. Gloucester Rugby is based on site and we have our own Championship rugby team. You'll develop your skills in business, finance, HR, event management, sponsorship, branding, marketing and more. A work placement in your second year, alongside an optional sandwich year, will prepare you for your career. You could also complete your Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification, widely recognised by employers across the world. Recent graduate destinations have included business, events and marketing roles with Pitch International, Inside Rugby, Sweetspot Group, Gullivers Sports Travel and Sahara Force India Formula One Team.

Modules

You will study a range of subjects, with optional modules allowing you to tailor your degree to your own interests. Year 1 modules include Core Business Modules, Introduction to the Sports Industry, Introduction to Technology in Sport and Organisations and People.

UCAS Tariff 96 - 112 points The minimum offer for this course is 72 UCAS tariff points or equivalent, providing this is combined with relevant experience.
A level CCC - BBC Typical offer is CCC-BBC or equivalent. This must include a minimum of two A Levels.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) MMM - DMM Typical offer is a MMM-DMM in an Extended Diploma or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Access to HE Diploma Typical offer is 96-112 UCAS tariff points in an Access to Higher Education Diploma.
Scottish Higher Typical offer is 96-112 UCAS tariff points in Scottish Highers. This must include a minimum of two Highers.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Typical offer is 96-112 UCAS tariff points in an IB Diploma, to include a minimum of two Highers at H3 or above. This must also include Maths and English Language at a minimum of Standard Level S3 if equivalent GCSE's have not been obtained.
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) Typical offer is 96-112 UCAS tariff points in the Irish Leaving Certificate. This must include a minimum of two Highers. This must also include Maths and English Language at a minimum of Ordinary Level.

In addition to the above Level 3 qualifications, a minimum of 5 GCSE A* to C, (or 9 to 4), or equivalent, to include English Language, Mathematics and a science are required. We welcome applications from mature students (aged 21 and over) and do not necessarily require the same academic qualifications as school leaving applicants. We may interview mature applicants and those with non-traditional qualifications. Each application is considered on its own merits and we will consider combinations of the above mentioned qualifications or equivalent. If you don't meet our tariff points requirement we will still consider your application. In some cases we can consider students with a lower tariff providing this is combined with relevant practical experience or we may be able to offer you a place on an alternative programme.
