Course summary

This course is a multidisciplinary, flexible degree that provides students with the opportunity to learn key principles from the Housing and Community sector that lead to a wide range of careers. Students will get experience in the housing and community sector through placements and engagement with community based projects. Students will study a range of topics relating to Housing and Community, for example; research methods, Housing Policy Theory and Practice, Community Studies in Action, International Built Environments, Walking the Urban. It also provides a pathway to postgraduate degrees related to the Social Sciences, as well as higher degrees by research. The course prepares students to take up careers within Housing Management sector, Housing Strategy, Regeneration, Development and Asset management, Customer Care, Finance, HR and IT, Homelessness Services and Supported Housing, Social Enterprise companies, Community development, Tenancy sustainability and support, Research sector, NGOs, Charity sector.
