Course summary

Location: This Teesside University award is delivered at our London Here East campus, part of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Course overview: The gaming industry needs graduates with a thorough knowledge of games design and able to technically implement it. This course involves using game engines to implement the gameplay mechanics. You explore core games design alongside programming or scripting for game engines. You study several shared group modules where you work with programmers and artists to develop games. And in the final year, you follow your own specialism through your Final Project module. After the course: You develop the skills you need for a career in the games industry as well as the generic skills to open up so many other career paths. You can work as a creative director, games designer, scriptwriter, level designer, interface designer and games tester.
