University of Birmingham has opted into the TEF and received a Gold award.
African Studies is a distinctive subject that really helps you to stand out from the crowd, making you an Africa expert as the role of African countries shift - politically, economically and culturally - in a globalised world. African Studies with Development is a broad-based, multidisciplinary degree and has been designed to offer you a detailed insight into the African continent and its peoples.
First-year modules cover a broad base of the subject and are designed to introduce you to ways of studying at university. By the final year the modules you take will become more specialised and reflect the research expertise of the academic staff. More detailed module information can be found on the ‘Course detail’ tab on the University of Birmingham’s coursefinder web pages.
The number of student respondents and response rates can be important in interpreting the data. For further information, see the Discover Uni website.
