Course summary
This Master's degree covers the fundamentals of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at Master's level. Students will examine key issues in the field including teaching methods in English Language Teaching, teaching English to Young Learners and English for Specific Purposes, including English for Academic Purposes.
Assessment method
Assessment will be in a variety of forms, from more traditional methods such as coursework and written assignment to oral presentations. Our library offers academic support for assessments and assignment writing via the library pages on the Student Room. The International Office also offer free of charge academic support for International Students.
Entry requirements
Applicants should have a good honours degree or equivalent. For applicants whose first language is not English, such candidates must normally be able to demonstrate on entry English Language proficiency at or equivalent to an IELTS overall score of 6.0, with no less than 6.0 on the Writing paper. Selection Procedure: Students are selected on the basis of an application form and a well-written personal statement. An interview may also be requested.
