Materials Science with an Integrated Foundation Year is a one year programme designed to improve your mathematical and scientific understanding and skills to a level where you will be able to start a degree in the Department of Materials in one of the following subject areas:

All applicants to the University (from the UK and Overseas) are required to show evidence of English Language proficiency. Home students to achieve GCSE/iGCSE in English Language Grade C/4 or equivalent. International Students to achieve a UKVI for IELTS score of no less than 5.5 in each and every component with a score of 6.0 overall.
