This programme will give you a strong understanding of sustainable tourism. You will develop an awareness of the cultural and environmental issues influenced by tourism and be able to apply critical and practical solutions. WHY THIS PROGRAMME
- You will evaluate sustainable tourism as a response to local and global challenges experienced within and beyond the tourism industry.
- Discover policies and practices for the management of sustainable tourism and how these can be used to address environmental and cultural issues.
- You will be equipped with intellectual and research skills that will enable you to assess complex, real-world problems and develop innovative solutions.
- The programme will enhance your appreciation of sustainable leadership approaches and how such approaches can be engaged with in differing cultures and contexts.
- You will be based at a world leading university, located within the Dumfries and Galloway region, an area notable for its natural and cultural resources, including a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, among many other sites of relevance to sustainable tourism.
