95% of our research overall in Mathematical Sciences was assessed to be world leading or internationally excellent (REF 2021) 1st in the UK for Citations in Physical Sciences (The Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2023) About the course If you’re passionate about mathematics and also want to explore today’s financial industries, this integrated Masters course is for you. The course is particularly relevant if you’re interested in a career in research at a university or in industry. You’ll build on your core knowledge of pure and applied mathematics and statistics, while discovering the world of mathematics tailored to financial analysis. You’ll learn from experts in both disciplines. Our modules are based on the latest research. You’ll experience contemporary concepts in mathematics and gain a solid grounding in how they apply outside of the classroom. Early on in your degree you take core modules. In your third year, you choose from a variety of options including:
- financial mathematics
- financial risk management
- valuation of companies and cash flow generating assets
- derivatives.
