Entry requirements
To apply for this course you must have QTS, QTLS or EYTS and and have completed a period of induction. You must be a qualified teacher who is: • designated as the SENCO or • an aspiring SENCO or • an inclusion manager or • in a position to undertake the duties of a SENCO You also need a document from your head teacher (DOC, 79.5KB) (DOC, 215.5KB) supporting your application and to provide your sponsorship details (DOCX, 137.8KB) (DOCX, 22KB) The course is designed for new SENCOs but we also welcome applications from experienced SENCOs. The SENCo Award must be achieved within 3 years of appointment to the role. Selection event If you are shortlisted, we will invite you to a selection event and you should present a passport or photo driving license. You can present other forms of photo ID for the selection event, but if you do, you will still need to present valid identity documents required by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) prior to starting your course. See our selection event guidance for this course. This course is not open to international students who require a Tier 4 (General) student visa to study in the UK.
