Course summary

Get the skills to work with elite and non-elite athletes. This highly practical course will equip you with a unique set of skills within the field of sports science and will prepare you for a rewarding career in an exciting and emerging profession. The course prepares sports science graduates to work as Graduate Sports Therapists, delivering a full set of competencies within the elite and amateur sectors, from soft tissue therapies and joint mobilisations, to pitch-side first aid, taping and strapping. You’ll develop the skills to rehabilitate athletes to full sports participation, as well as examining and assessing injuries for diagnosis or referral. Study style The course is assessed through a range of methods, such as practical exams, portfolios, literature reviews and presentations. All Sports Therapy modules include a practical assessment. All learning is focused on acquiring professional skills, which means that students underpin their studies with placements and practical experience. Entry requirements

- At least a 2.2 honours degree or equivalent in a sports science, sport and exercise science or related discipline - EU and international students need IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.5 in writing and in any other band) or equivalent - For those without the prerequisite sports science degree we offer a bridging sport and exercise module.
