Course summary

This programme is designed to give you a firm understanding of strategic thinking and the innovation process. Your learning will be centred on the latest insights from research. There’s a strong focus on how theories and concepts can be applied in a 'real world' setting and in international contexts. The programme includes a forward-looking module ‘Trends in Strategy and Innovation’, which will ensure you’re up to date with the latest ideas and approaches. Modules include guest speakers from industry and visits to innovative businesses to give you insights into real-world practice. Recent graduates have gone to work for Proctor and Gamble in Vietnam and one even founded an online ride-sharing platform in Nigeria, before becoming a Business & Innovation finalist in the 2022 Study UK Alumni Awards.

How to apply

International applicants

IELTS language requirements: 6.5 overall, with minimum 6.5 in reading and writing and 6.0 in listening and speaking. For information on other accepted English language tests, please see the website.

Entry requirements

A UK bachelor's degree with upper second-class honours or higher (or equivalent overseas qualification approved by the University) in a relevant subject with some element of qualitative (essay-based) study such as business, economics, science, engineering, IT, management and marketing, communication, education, political science, sociology or similar. Applicants with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.
