This part-time distance learning course is for practising orthoptists and other eye care professionals who want to study for a higher degree without having to leave their current post. Course description Lead academic: Dr Charlotte Codina This course is for practising orthoptists and other eye care professionals. It’s taught online and supported by two learning blocks, held on weekends at the beginning of your first and second years. There are also introductory days or tutorials online, held in March, depending on which module you choose to study. This means you can study for a higher degree without having to leave your current post. It is the only distance learning course specialising in vision and strabismus that allows you to develop skills beyond registration while you work. We have several specialist orthoptists on our teaching and research team. Many of our students go on to publish the results of their research projects.
