Course summary
This programme provides an in-depth understanding, not only of agricultural livestock production, but of the essential economic, political and environmental issues which are shaping the future of the farming industry. The programme includes business and the opportunity for students to gain skills in managing a project – providing excellent transferable skills and enabling students to set up their own business. The course content is specifically designed to be appropriate to the needs of the agricultural industry and to enable students to progress to study higher education courses. This is a vocational programme with an applied nature that is emphasised throughout. There is a strong emphasis on applying theoretical knowledge to practical situations using our excellent facilities. What will I study? Year 1
