Course summary
The BSc (Hons) Finance, Investment & Risk programme provides the opportunity to study for a directly relevant degree in a business-like environment that gives unique exposure to, and immersion in, the financial services industry. The programme will enable you to develop a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the core elements of investment and financial analysis and risk management that underpin sound decision-making. Alongside study of the broader environment in which investment banking operates, the programme will also develop your understanding of key aspects of equity markets and investments, security analysis, asset classes and bond and equity pricing as well as covering portfolio management, derivatives and alternative investments. Critically, it also provides you with the opportunity to evaluate the impact of changing regulatory and operating conditions and gain insights into and understanding of the local and global tensions in banking and financial services.

Qualification requirements
All applications will be considered holistically and offers will be based on qualifications, subjects studied, any relevant work experience and personal statements demonstrating a desire to work in the banking & finance industry. Offers will vary depending on the relevant of subjects studied at A level (or equivalent). Ideal applicants will have studied an A level which involves advanced Maths including A level Mathematics, Economics, Statistics. All applicants for this programme are expected to meet our standard entry criteria for English and Maths which is a grade C/ grade 4 in GCSE English Language & grade B or 6 in GCSE Mathematics.
English language requirements
All students are expected to meet our minimum requirements for English Language which is a grade C or 4 in GCSE. For international students, our preference is IELTS for UKVI with an overall score of 6.0 with no element below 5.5.
